Expectations of Leaders

Expectations of Leaders:
The role of leaders from local congregations is a really important part of the weekend at Summer Madness. Having your own leaders involved gives you as a congregation, the opportunity to travel the journey of the weekend alongside your young people. Giving strong support to your young people by being a familiar face, a faithful presence, a guide and a listening ear is crucial to ensuring they can ‘go deeper’ in their faith. It also helps your leaders to see first-hand the experience your young people have on the weekend and use it as the foundation for relationship and ministry with them throughout the year. Because of the high value of leaders in the Summer Madness program, there are several expectations of leaders who come. These include…
• Accepting responsibility of your group members- ensuring you are with your
group members throughout the course of the camp.
• Praying for your group members.
• Being available to reflect with group members.
• Behaviour management of your group.
• Co-operating with camp directors and other leaders.
• Supporting the camp program and being loyal to our mission together.
• Having a current Blue Card with you on site..
• Following-up group members post-camp and reporting to your congregation
• Ensuring you all have a great time

Our Summer Madness “Momentum” logo symbolises our core value of mentoring and discipleship. Taking another by the hand and leading them to discover and develop a relationship with Christ.
